Published on 27 September 2025 at 17:52

Week 4 of the NFL season is here, and with it comes another exciting slate of daily fantasy football action on DraftKings. If you’re grinding cash games—whether it’s head-to-heads, double-ups, or 50/50s—locking in the right core plays is essential for building a safe, high-floor lineup. In this breakdown, we’ll highlight the best NFL Week 4 DraftKings cash game picks, including top-value options, must-have studs, and salary-saving plays to help you maximize your edge. Let’s dive into the core DFS plays you can trust for your cash builds this week.

Quarterback

Geno Smith - $5,400 vs Chicago

Geno checks all the boxes we want for a stable, high-floor play. He’s sitting #2 in passing yards (831, 277 per game) and #3 in air yards (947), showing that the volume is both consistent and productive. His 35+ attempts per game (#8) and top-4 in deep ball attempts give him multiple avenues to rack up fantasy points. Importantly for cash formats, he’s limiting mistakes even with heavy volume, which means we’re getting efficiency without the the mistakes.

Geno’s efficiency numbers show us what we need to know. A 7.8 yards per attempt (#8) and 16.9 fantasy points per game (#15) are more than enough at his price to provide stability. He’s producing in ways that matter for fantasy. Against a Bears defense that has struggled to pressure the quarterback, Geno’s strong protection numbers make him an even safer bet. All signs point to Geno being one of the strongest cash game QB plays on the slate.

WIDE RECIEVERS

Puka Nacua - $7,900 vs Indy

Looking at Puka’s numbers, he profiles as one of the safest wide receiver plays for cash games this week. He owns a massive 37.6% target share (#3) and an elite 44.9% target rate (#1), which means nearly half the time he runs a route, he’s the one being looked at. That volume translates into real production, as he leads the league in both receptions (29) and receiving yards (333, 111 per game). Even without a ton of red zone usage, his role in the short-to-intermediate passing game provides a consistent path to double-digit fantasy points every week, exactly what we want in cash.

His role is further supported by how he’s being used within the offense. Puka has logged 20 first-read targets (#11) and a strong 44.4% first-read target share (#4), showing he’s not just benefitting from broken plays — he’s the focal point of the passing attack. With this type of locked-in volume and league-leading 24.5 fantasy points per game (#1), Puka offers one of the safest floors at the position, making him a near must-play in cash formats

Chris Olave - $5,100 vs Buffalo

Olave is simply dominating volume, which is the single most important factor in cash games. He leads the league in targets with 37 (12.3 per game) and has turned that into 23 receptions (#2 overall). That consistent double-digit target load gives him one of the safest floors in DFS — even on an average efficiency day, the volume alone locks him into production. He’s also heavily involved across the field, with 120 routes run (#4) and nearly a 90% snap share, which means he’s always on the field and always available for fantasy points.

On the production side, while he hasn’t exploded for touchdowns yet, Olave has still racked up 165 receiving yards and is averaging 13.2 fantasy points per game. That’s before any positive touchdown regression, which feels inevitable given his 4 red zone targets and 26.7% red zone target share. With elite usage, Olave is about as safe as it gets in cash games — he’s the kind of wideout who can “miss” on efficiency but still give you 12–15 points simply because of his workload.

RUNNING BACKS

James Cook - $7,100 vs New Orleans

James Cook is in play this week on DraftKings because he’s seeing steady volume and producing with it. Through three games, he has 53 carries (17.7 per game) and 9 targets, giving him a consistent workload in both phases of the offense. He’s turned that into 284 rushing yards (94.7 per game) and 71 receiving yards, showing that he can rack up yards from scrimmage regardless of game script. Most importantly, Cook has already logged 14 red zone touches and scored 4 total touchdowns, which keeps his touchdown equity high.

From a fantasy scoring standpoint, Cook is delivering elite production, ranking #3 among RBs in fantasy points per game (22.8). That type of output is being fueled by both his efficiency and opportunity, making him a reliable cash game option while still carrying upside for tournaments. Against the Saints, his combination of volume, yardage production, and scoring opportunities makes him one of the stronger running back plays on the slate.

Christian McCaffrey - $8,500 vs Jacksonville

Christian McCaffrey is one of the safest plays for cash games in Week 4. He’s seeing an 82% snap share and averaging over 27 touches per game, which includes 52 carries and 32 targets. That level of involvement gives him one of the highest usage rates in the league.

Through three games, McCaffrey has piled up 176 rushing yards and 213 receiving yards with 25 catches. He’s also handled 17 red zone touches, giving him plenty of scoring chances each week.

On DraftKings, his 23.3 fantasy points per game make him one of the most reliable options on the slate. With elite volume on the ground and in the passing game, McCaffrey is a must-have piece in cash game lineups

TIGHT END

Kyle Pitts - $3,600 vs Washington

Kyle Pitts looks like one of the safest tight end options for cash games because of his combination of volume and consistency. Through three games, he’s seen 19 targets (6.3 per game), which ranks near the top of the position. He’s turned that into 15 receptions and 135 receiving yards, he is also running routes at an elite level, ranking 2nd at his position, this is elite production for a tight end. Pitts is also consistently on the field, logging a strong snap share and heavy route participation, which ensures he’s not coming off the field in passing situations. That type of locked-in role mixed with an incredibly cheap price point this weekend, makes him a steady option where floor matters most.
